Seventeen magazine (January, 2007) says "girls who respect their bodies are more likely to take care of themselves by eating well and exercising"...
and "girls who are really active actually feel less tired and they get better grades".
The magazine suggests making small changes that add up to a new, healthier you. Change you eating habits, by adding more variety and eating smaller servings -- change your exercise habits, by adding a walk with the dog, to the store, some time at the gym, yoga, whatever you enjoy.
And, stay motivated by working with a partner. You're more likely to stick to a new eating and exercise regime if you have someone to support you when you aren't feeling inspired. And, you are helping them as well.
